A man has been seriously injured after falling from five metres up the Christmas tree in Launceston's mall.
A 33-year-old South Australian man was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital in a serious condition after he fell from the mall tree at 11.30pm on Wednesday.
"Police would like to remind everyone to stay safe especially at this time of year when many people consume alcohol. We want people to have fun but not put their lives, or other people's lives at risk," Inspector Michael Johnston said on Thursday.
