Man in custody after siege at Vic home

A young man is in police custody after a siege at home in Victoria's northwest.

Officers went to a home in Wendouree, a suburb of Ballarat, about 4am on Saturday on reports a man was armed with a gun.

The man left the house after peaceful negotiations with police, who confiscated the gun, while another man and woman came out unharmed.
