Man hit by car on Mornington Peninsula

A pedestrian has serious injuries after being hit by a car on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula.

Police say the 47-year-old man walked onto the road in Rosebud on Wednesday night, giving the driver no time to stop.

The uninjured female driver assisted the man, and he was airlifted to hospital in a serious condition.
