Shocked residents find shooting victim in backyard
A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital after being found shot in Melbourne’s south-east this morning.
Emergency services were called to Dunblane Road, Noble Park, after the 29-year-old man was discovered in the backyard with gunshot wounds to his lower body 10.15am.
It's believed the man was shot before he fled over a fence into the neighbours backyard.
Shocked residents found him bleeding from the lower body as his attackers fled.
He has been taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries, police said.
It's understood at least one man left the scene in a dark coloured car.
Bullet casings, a knife and a shattered car window were examined by forensic officers.
The attackers remain on the run.
