Man found at Victorian tip identified

A dead man found semi-naked at a Melbourne tip has been identified.

The 34-year-old Endeavour Hills man's death is not being treated as suspicious, police say.

A worker thought he found a mannequin among household and industrial waste at the Hampton Park landfill on Tuesday before making the grim realisation and calling police.

Police initially believed the man was brought in on a truck on Tuesday morning, but a police spokeswoman was unable to confirm that remained the case.

The man had no apparent injuries when his body was discovered.
