Man drowns off Victorian beach

A man has drowned in Westernport, southeast of Melbourne.

An off-duty nurse tried to resuscitate the man, who was swimming with a relative when he was found face down in shallow water off Coronet Bay about 3.30pm on Monday, but he died at the scene, police said.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.
