Man dies after car hits tree in Portland

A man has died in a single vehicle crash in Portland, southwest Victoria.

The car crashed into a tree just after 8.30pm on Monday at the intersection of Malings and Oakpark roads, police say.

The man, who was alone in the vehicle, died at the scene.
