Man dies after being shot in southeast Melbourne

A man has died in hospital after being shot in Melbourne's south east.

Emergency services were called to Bloomfield Street in Keysborough at 5.45pm yesterday evening where they found a 34-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his upper body.

He was rushed to hospital but died from the wound.

Homicide squad detectives are investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
