Man dead, woman serious after Vic crash

A man has died in hospital following a car crash in regional Victoria last week.

The 47-year-old Cobram man was taken to hospital with critical injuries on May 23 but he died in hospital on Friday night, police say.

A 47-year-old female passenger remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition, and a 14-year-old boy - who was in the back of the car - has been released.

Speed has been deemed the main contributor to the crash, but police are investigating if alcohol or drugs were involved.
