Man fronts court over murder charge after woman found dead in Melbourne CBD
A 22-year-old man has faced court, charged with the murder of a woman found dead in an apartment in Melbourne CBD.
Xiaozheng Lin from Huntingdale fronted Melbourne Magistrates' Court today, only speaking to confirm he understood through a Mandarin interpreter.
Lin has been accused of killing a 31-year-old Chinese national, whose body was found inside an apartment on Latrobe Street about 8.40pm on Tuesday by her friends.

He has also been accused of robbing the woman of her mobile phone, a tablet, more than $7000 cash and a washing basket.
He was arrested in Preston yesterday afternoon hours after police issued a callout for the public's help to find him.
Lin did not apply for bail and will return to court in May.
