A 59-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a Melbourne jewellery store during which a staff member was hit over the head with a firearm.
A balaclava-clad man confronted the male employee inside the Ormond jewellery store in late November and demanded a safe be opened.
When the victim refused he was struck on the head with a firearm before the attacker fled the scene in a black sedan.
