Man charged over Port Melb hit-and-run

A man has been charged over a hit-and-run in Port Melbourne that left another man with critical injuries.
Police say the 31-year-old victim saw a man stealing a car from on Bay Street at 8.30am on October 14.
When the Prahran man opened the car's back door in an attempt to get in, the car suddenly reversed, crushing him against a power pole.

An 18-year-old South Melbourne man was arrested and charged with numerous offences on Monday, including conduct endangering life, careless driving and theft of motor vehicle.
He is expected to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
