Man charged over fatal Vic stabbing

A Melbourne man has been charged with murdering another man who was fatally stabbed as he walked along a footpath.

Eric Trinh, known as Ricky, died in hospital after he was found lying on a South Melbourne footpath with critical injuries to his neck on March 18.

A 27-year-old Gladstone Park man was on Monday charged with Mr Trinh's murder and has been remanded to appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
