A 19-year-old man has been charged after a wild brawl broke out at a house party in Melbourne’s west last night.

About 50 high school students attended the party in Werribee to celebrate the end of the first school term.

Police were called to the property about 11.30pm, after a fight broke out between security and partygoers.

They arrived to find between 10 and 12 people involved in a brawl.

Police broke up the fight, and three teenagers were taken to hospital with facial injuries.

An 18-year-old Werribee man is continuing to receive treatment in Royal Melbourne Hospital for facial lacerations, cuts to his chest, severe bruising and abrasions.

Police believe he may have been hit with a broken bottle.

One resident of the property claims to have slept through the entire ordeal, only waking when police arrived.

The 19-year-old was charged with a total of nine offences including intentionally and recklessly causing injury, assault and affray.
