Man charged after fatal Melbourne crash

A man has been charged after an 87-year-old woman was killed in a car crash in Melbourne's north.
The 43-year-old man was charged on Monday after the elderly woman, who was a passenger in a car, died after a crash with a ute at Reservoir about 6.30pm on Friday.
The man has been charged with dangerous driving causing death and injury and other driving offences and he is due to face court on August 11.
