Man arrested over Vic gaming robberies

Police investigating a series of 15 armed robberies at gaming venues across Melbourne have made their first arrest.

Esho Esho was remanded in custody in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday afternoon.

The Roxburgh Park 20-year-old is facing two counts of robbery over an incident on February 18 and will return to court on Monday, police say.

Armed Crime Squad investigations into the robberies between December 7 and March 7 are continuing.

Staff and patrons were threatened with shotguns, rifles, handguns and other weapons including a machete in each of the robberies.
