Man arrested during birthday celebrations

A man has been arrested while celebrating his birthday after he was allegedly found with counterfeit money in Victoria's Gippsland.
Police said the arrest followed the use of several counterfeit notes in Sale on Friday.
A 31-year-old man has been charged with various offences, including attempting to obtain property by deception, possession of counterfeit money, drug and other offences.

A 25-year-old woman was also arrested and charged with a range of similar offences.
The Sale pair were bailed by police to appear at Sale Magistrates' Court on April 7.
