Man arrested after Melbourne chase, crash

Police are probing whether a passenger in a vehicle involved in a police chase in Melbourne's northwest had been kidnapped.
A man has been arrested and a woman has suffered minor injuries following a police pursuit in which two police cars were hit and damaged.
A 36-year-old man allegedly rammed two police cars during a high-speed chase at Tullamarine after officers tried to stop him at Kealba shortly before midday on Wednesday, the Nine Network reports.

The driver was apprehended at Ravenhall as he tried to escape on foot, while a 21-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries.
Police say they are investigating whether the passenger had been kidnapped.
