Man, 80, assaulted after Vic car crash

Police are calling for witnesses after an 80-year-old Victorian man was allegedly assaulted following a minor collision.

The man allegedly failed to give way when entering a road in Ballarat about 9pm on November 29, and his Volkswagen Tiguan collided with another car.

"Police have been told that after the impact two men approached the Tiguan," a Victoria Police statement said.

The elderly driver told police he was hit by one of the men. The two then fled the scene.

He had a minor injury but it's not known if he received it in the crash or the alleged attack.
