Man, 21, stabbed in the leg in Geelong

A man has been stabbed in the leg in Geelong with police appealing for information on the attack.

The 21-year-old was found with a leg wound about 4.20pm on Wednesday in the suburb of Norlane and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police originally reported the incident as a shooting but later said the injury "appears to be a stab wound".

They say the exact circumstances surrounding the attack are uncertain and they are appealing for help.
