Major regional projects in the Vic budget

THE BIG BUDGET PROJECTS SLATED FOR REGIONAL VICTORIA:

GEELONG

* $115m for the Waurn Ponds stabling and maintenance yard for V/Line trains

* $70m to increase capacity at Simonds Stadium and create a new rehabilitation centre

* $30m Geelong Performing Art Centre

BALLARAT

* $31.5m Eureka Stadium upgrade to bring AFL to Western Victoria

* $25m Ballarat Station precinct upgrade

BENDIGO

* $5m Bendigo Stadium upgrade

WESTERN VICTORIA

* Up to $220m for the Murray Basin Rail Project

* $19m for the 144km Grampians Peak Trail

* $1.75m Stawell underground particle physics laboratory

GIPPSLAND

* $10m Gippsland Logistics Precinct.
