Crown wants Masa's killer jailed for life
Crown prosecutors want the man who killed Melbourne teenager Masa Vukotic to be jailed for life when he is sentenced today.
Sean Christian Price pleaded guilty to rape, robbery, attempted theft and the murder of a 17-year-old girl, who he stabbed 49 times in a park near her Melbourne home last year.
He told police he had to kill her because she was dressed like a yuppie and talking to birds like Snow White, the Victorian Supreme Court has previously heard.
The following day he went on a crime spree that culminated in the violent rape of a woman in her workplace because he believed he was "going to jail forever".
In sentencing, Justice Lex Lasry must also take into account Price threatened to kill a prison guard, prosecutors said in submissions last month.
Price must be sentenced as a serious violent offender, the court heard.
Price has prior convictions including sex offences against seven girls and women aged between 13 and 45 in 2002 and 2003.
