Laser shone at chopper, Vic man charged

A Melbourne man has been charged after allegedly shining a laser light at a police helicopter.
The laser was allegedly pointed at the chopper just after 2am on Thursday as it was flying over Heidelberg.
A 23-year-old West Heidelberg man was arrested a short time later and is due to appear at Heidelberg Magistrates' Court charged with conduct endangering life, possessing a prohibited weapon and interfering with crew or aircraft.
