L-plater crashes into shed after SA chase

A learner driver who allegedly crashed into a shed after a police chase in the Adelaide Hills has been caught hiding in the bushes nearby.

He allegedly fled from police when they tried to pull over his black Audi in Mount Barker about 3.30am on Saturday.

A chase took place but it was soon called off for safety reasons.

The car was found abandoned after it had crashed into a shed on the corner of Bald Hills Rd and Springs Rd.

The 27-year-old from Flagstaff Hill was arrested in bushes nearby and taken to hospital with minor injuries.

He was bailed to appear in the Mt Barker Magistrates Court in July charged with breaching his learner's conditions, driving dangerously and engaging in a pursuit.
