Kayaker rescued from Port Phillip Bay

A man has been rescued after he became stranded for three hours when his kayak was swamped on Melbourne's Port Phillip Bay.
The 62-year-old, who was wearing safety gear and had a whistle and red beacon, was rescued by a passing vessel at 11pm on Tuesday after passersby raised the alarm.
He was taken to hospital suffering from the cold.
