Recruitment workers allegedly abused Victorian ski staff

A group of drunk, rowdy co-workers from an international recruitment company have been accused of terrorising staff at a Victorian ski club.

Michael Page has launched an investigation into allegations up to 22 of its employees abused staff and trashed property at Reindeer Ski Club on Mount Buller at the weekend, including threats of violence.

Ski club manager Stephanie Sparrow took to Facebook to let the recruitment company know she and her father were harassed from Friday night until Sunday morning by a group who said they were on a work trip organised by Michael Page.

"On Saturday morning we woke to a lodge that appeared to have been home to the biggest party of the season. Rubbish covered the floors, food lined the benches, and broken glass was slithered everywhere," she wrote.

Two men threatened to "kick our heads in", Ms Sparrow wrote, when she and her dad told the guests they could not fix a power outage on Sunday morning, prompting her to call the police.

A Michael Page spokeswoman said the company had talked to the people who were affected and offered "unreserved apologies".

"While this was not a company funded or sanctioned work trip, there were nonetheless Michael Page employees involved," she said.

"We are extremely upset about the behaviour of some of our employees and make no excuses for their actions."

The recruitment company is investigating its staff and will take disciplinary action.

A Victoria Police spokesman confirmed police attended the ski lodge on Sunday morning over unruly guests, but were told the guests had settled down by the time officers arrived and no further action was required.
