Indonesian bank HQ destined for Melbourne

Indonesia's fourth-largest bank will base its Australian headquarters in Melbourne.

Once approvals are granted by Australian and Indonesian regulators, Bank Negara Indonesia will establish operations in Melbourne in 2018, Victorian Treasurer Tim Pallas said in a statement on Friday.

The presence of BNI in Melbourne will facilitate the business network and encourage deeper economic ties between Indonesia and Victoria, Mr Pallas said.
