A Melbourne ice dealer jailed for suffocating a man he believed had ratted him out to police has lost an appeal against his murder conviction that led to him being jailed for 27 years.
Harvey Spence was last year sentenced to a minimum 22 years behind bars for the January 2013 murder Nhan Ngoc "Kevin" Doan who died after Spence forced an associate to cover his head with a plastic bag at gun point.
The Victorian Court of Appeal on Thursday dismissed Spence's bid to have his conviction quashed.
