Ice, cash and casino chips in Vic car bust

More than $300,000 of methamphetamine ice, $200,000 in cash, $90,000 of casino chips and a gun have been seized in a car bust in Melbourne's northeast.

The haul was discovered when police routinely stopped and inspected the car driving along Myrtle Street in Heidelberg Heights on Monday night.

A 39-year-old man from nearby suburb Yallambie and a Thai national woman, 31, were arrested at the scene.

The pair have been charged with possessing a firearm, trafficking a commercial quantity of drugs and other offences.

Police are searching for a third person, 41-year-old Melbourne man Prince Danhawah Ibrahim, who may help with investigations.

The arrested pair remain in custody after facing court on Tuesday.
