'I don't like footy any more': Thompson

A disappointed and dejected AFL great Mark "Bomber" Thompson has admitted losing interest in football as he talked about his dramatic fall from grace.

Thompson, 54, briefly appeared before Melbourne Magistrates Court last Thursday over drugs charges linked to a police raid at his Port Melbourne home.

"I'm just sad. I'm just disappointed. I lost my friendships, I've lost my social life," he told News Corp on Monday.

"All the people I've grown up with are around footy, and I don't like footy any more. I don't want to talk about footy, I haven't seen footy."
