Human remains found by hunters in Victoria

Hunters have found a human body in Victoria's alpine region.

The remains were found at Abbeyard about 3pm on Saturday and are undergoing forensic testing to determine the identity and if the death was suspicious.

Homicide detectives have gone to the area and police believe the body may be a woman who used to live in the area and has not been reported missing, but has not been seen since August 2018.
