Homicide squad identify dead Vic man

A man who died after being dumped at a Victorian hospital has been identified by police.

Homicide detectives say 28-year-old Hoppers Crossing man Aaron Burnett was dropped outside the front doors of a Werribee emergency department about 5am on Sunday.

The man who took him to the hospital left soon after speaking with hospital staff, police say.

Mr Burnett later died in hospital of his injuries.

Investigators believe Mr Burnett was attacked in the car park of a petrol station in Kealba before being taken to the hospital, where he later died.
