Home made bomb explodes in Melbourne

A Molotov cocktail thrown at a suburban home in Melbourne's west has exploded.
A plastic bottle containing an unknown chemical was thrown at a balcony in Waterloo Road, Oak Park just after 7am on Saturday, Victoria Police spokeswoman Belinda Nolan said.
"The device exploded, causing minor damage to the balcony area," she said.

"Two occupants were home at the time but no one was injured."
