Height limits for Melbourne CBD buildings

New super-tall skyscrapers could be banned in central Melbourne unless they include a park, a childcare centre or an iconic city laneway.
Victoria is considering lowering height limits for new CBD buildings unless developers include amenities for the city.
"The controls will allow you to build to a certain height depending on the size of your block. If you want to go higher than that, what we're seeking is you provide a contribution back to the city," Planning Minister Richard Wynne told 3AW radio on Tuesday.
