Rainfall across the northeast is expected to vary from 50mm to 150mm.

The low pressure system will move from South Australia on Saturday and is forecast to be over the southwest of Victoria on Sunday night, moving south of Tasmania on Monday.

Minor flooding is a possibility for the northeast of Victoria from Monday morning.

The Bureau of Meteorology says it is continuing to monitor the situation and will issue catchment specific warnings if required.
