RAISING THE BAR ON VICTORIA'S SCHOOL RESULTS:

Grade/Old School Score/New School Score

A = 85-100 per cent = 18 months ahead of age group

B = 75-84 per cent = six-to-12 months ahead of age group

C = 65-74 per cent = working at the same level as age peers

D = 50-64 per cent = six-to-12 months behind age group

E = n/a = 12-to-18 months behind age group

F = less than 50 per cent = n/a

NOTE: There have been progressive changes to the school grading system, not shown in this table. Schools can choose to create their own five-point system, using scales such as "outstanding" and "unsatisfactory".
