Graffiti vandals target Vic forest

Graffiti vandals have attacked a bushland reserve east of Melbourne, leaving spray-painted scrawl even on its granite rocks.

There is graffiti on rocks along a walking track and at the lookout - as well as on signs, bollards and public toilets - at the Seven Acre Rock Natural Features and Scenic Reserve.

"The lookout provides views of the surrounding hills out to West Gippsland and Western Port Bay and has been damaged by thoughtless vandals," a spokesman from the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning said.

"This type of reckless behaviour is costly to clean up and creates a negative experience for the many visitors to our forests."

It is believed the graffiti took place late last year.
