Gate attendant assaulted at Melb racetrack

A gate attendant received a gash to his chin in an assault at a Melbourne racecourse.
The Melbourne Racing Club staff member was attacked at Sandown Racecourse in Springvale shortly after 2pm on Wednesday.
Police say they will interview another man over the assault at a later date.
