A black flag removed from a Melbourne bridge is not linked to Islamic State.
ABC Radio reports that police were called by worried drivers who saw two hooded men unfurl what looked like an IS flag over the Princes Freeway at 3am on Wednesday.
Police say they will investigate the messaging on the "banner" that was removed by VicRoads from the Laverton Overpass, but say it did not contain a threat.
