Four-metre shark spotted at Victorian holiday hotspot of Lorne

A four-metre shark has been spotted circling the pier at the Victorian town of Lorne.

The shark was filmed last night by resident Ben Anderson, who described it as “a rather large visitor”.

Startled fishermen and beachgoers also sighted it.

Mr Anderson told 9NEWS people continued to jump into the water off the pier, which is not allowed.

Paddle-boarders reportedly also remained in the water despite the shark visit.
