Four cars crash at Melbourne intersection

Four vehicles have been involved in a spectacular crash in Melbourne, after one car apparently went through a red light.

No one was seriously injured, but one witness to the Wantirna crash told Seven News that it was like something out of an action movie.

A four-wheel drive ended on its roof, and police are investigating how the accident happened.

Senior Constable Travis Forrest says it's lucky noone was killed or injured.

"Amazingly we have had minor injuries and police are still investigating what actually happened tonight," he told Nine.

"This highlights the need for safety on our roads and always to be aware of your surroundings."
