Environment authorities are investigating a strong sewage odour in Melbourne's western suburbs.
The Environment Protection Authority has received around 100 calls from the public after the strong sulphur smell wafted through numerous suburbs including Altona, Footscray, Tullamarine and Maidstone on Sunday night.
An EPA spokeswoman says officers are trying to locate the source of the foul smell, with "all possible sources being investigated".
