Two former AWB executives accused of paying kickbacks to Saddam Hussein's regime will begin their defence in Victoria's Supreme Court on Monday.

The corporate watchdog on Thursday finished outlining its case against former AWB chair Trevor James Flugge and group general manager trading Peter Anthony Geary, who are accused of improperly paying $US223 million ($A300 million) into Iraq in breach of UN sanctions.

Justice Ross Robson has set Monday down for the defence to open their case and lawyers indicate more witnesses will be called.
