Flights delayed after Melbourne Airport suffers power outage

Melbourne Airport was forced to implement back-up generators in the international terminal today after a “dip” in the main power supply.
The international terminal, and Terminal 3 (Virgin Australia) were affected by the blackout.

The main power is now back on, however there are delays to some airlines.
A Virgin Australia spokesperson said several flights have been affected.
“All systems are back up and running, it’s just a backlog,” a statement from the airline said.
Customers are urged to check the Virgin Australia flight status page.
A spokesperson for Qantas said there were no delays to the airline’s services.
