Five charged over Vic street racing death

Five men have been charged over the death of a man during an alleged motorbike street race in regional Victoria.

A 19-year-old Mildura man crashed into a pole on February 6 during what police say was an early morning street race.

A 20-year-old Mildura man has been charged with culpable driving and dangerous driving causing death, while three Mildura men, aged 19, 20 and 23, and an 18-year-old Red Cliffs man have been charged with reckless conduct endangering life and serious injury.

They have been bailed to appear at the Mildura Magistrates Court on Thursday.
