First public hearing into Brighton siege

The first public hearing of a coronial investigation into the death of Brighton siege gunman Yacqub Khayre and his victim has been scheduled in Melbourne.
Coroner Judge Sara Hinchey will hold a directions hearing on Tuesday into the death of Khayre and hotel clerk Kai Hao, who was gunned down at a Brighton apartment complex on June 5.
The hearing will be an opportunity for other parties to make submissions about how the coronial investigation should proceed.
