First Aust green bonds sell out in a day

Australia's first environmentally-friendly government bonds have sold out a little over a day after the Victorian government issued them.

The total book of $300 million was supported by 17 investors, the government announced on Wednesday.

The green bonds will finance environmentally-friendly state projects such as renewable energy, water treatment and public transport.
