Fire crews battle Port Melbourne blaze

Fire crews are battling a fire in Port Melbourne which has sent smoke billowing across the seaside suburb.

The blaze is believed to be at a chiropractor’s practice on Bridge St, with smoke visible for kilometres across the city’s south-east.

The single-storey brick building was reportedly well alight when fire crews arrived.

Crews were called around 6:10am (AEDT), with seven trucks attending to the blaze.

The blaze was brought under control after 45 minutes, just before 7am.
