Fire burns in Victoria's Dandenong Ranges

Fire crews are battling an out-of-control blaze at the foot of the Dandenong Ranges on Melbourne's eastern outskirts.

There are 27 trucks on the scene fighting the blaze in Yellingbo, but CFA crews have requested more assistance.

At this stage the fire's size is unknown.

An advice message has been issued by the CFA, and while there is no current threat to communities, nearby residents should stay informed and monitor conditions.
