Fire at century-old Vic court house

A fire that gutted a century-old court house on the Victoria-NSW border may have been deliberately lit.

The blaze, that started in a courtroom at the Cobram Magistrates' Court early on Wednesday, is still under investigation, police say.

The courtroom is completely destroyed and the courthouse built in 1912 will need a new ceiling, CFA says.

All cases have been transferred to a court in the nearby city of Shepparton.
